Best Western Plus Hotel At The Convention Center

The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and it was affordable. The breakfast was good, and overall, it was a great stay. The location is ideal for those going on a cruise, and there is so much within walking distance. We also appreciated that the hotel informed us in advance about ongoing construction inside during the day. However, it didn't bother us much as we weren't inside much and only stayed for one night.

The room and location was okay, but they have rooms under construction and it produced EXTREMELY LOUD noises before it was even 8AM. The construction was on the third floor right across from our room, but you can hear the loud noise across the entire building. Even when we went to have breakfast on the first floor, we could still not avoid the noise. We can't hear the sound from the TV, we can't hear each other talking unless we are yelling. It's completely insane that this place is open with such noise. They have a small sign on the front desk about some rooms under renovation, but you would not believe how loud and how early the construction is. They claimed that they put it on their website and all and refused to do anything about it, but we booked through a travel agency from work and had no idea at all. $300+ a night for such experience is total nonsense. We were here for business conference and did not get good sleep. I left the hotel early than planned because I couldn't have any online meeting or even phone calls in the hotel with such loud noise. Unless you are getting out of the hotel before 8AM, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Friendly service and nice rooms, but we ran into lots of trouble. First our card keys didn't work, then after visit back to the front desk we find out that the room smells badly of weed. They were able to send someone in to unlock an open the window and spray some air freshener which is nice. But after these delays it meant that we couldn't get dinner because every restaurant literally just shut.
